Many-body physics

James Hague, Physics, does research on many-body physics, which includes embolic stroke modelling, optical lattice simulations and electron-phonon interactions.

Calculations of this type require a large quantity of CPU time, e.g., 3 months run time on 16 processors for a calculation similar to PRL 98 (2007) 037002; more detailed work may require even more computational resources. His successful EPSRC First Grant application to work on graphene relied heavily on the availability of computer resources at the OU.
